Lubbock courts, Covenant Health alter Covid policies

Due to the rising cases of Covid-19 in Lubbock, Lubbock County judges and Covenant Health have made changes for proceedings and visitation. Officials with the Lubbock County Office of Court Administration say the District and County Court-at-Law Judges met this weekend and decided to stop further in-person proceedings until at least Sept.

Abbott takes action to mitigate rising C-19 cases

Governor Greg Abbott on Monday announced a series of actions the State of Texas is taking to mitigate the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Texas. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will be utilizing staffing agencies to provide medical personnel from out-of-state to Texas health care facilities to assist in COVID-19 operations.
