Castro County student Audrey Wooten was honored April 3 by the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture with academic scholarship support for the 20252026 academic year.

The Castro County Intermediate Horse Judging team competed at the District 2 contest with Team 1 placing 3rd and Team 2 placing 4th. Team 1 members include Steeley Moore (4th), Trystan Crow, Braeli Fuller and Sawyer Lunsford. Team 2 members are Edgar Perez, Gracie McLean and Adalyn Braddock. Coaches for the teams are Jessica Moore and Mary Crow.

The Nazareth FFA Veterinary Science Team were the championship team at the TTU Invitational last Thursday. Michael Fulkerson placed 6th, Gracie White, 1st , Olivia Raef, 12th, and Beck Paulsen, 2nd. They punched their ticket to state at the Area Championship: Gracie White – 1st; Beck Paulsen -4th; Olivia Raef - 7th; and Michael Fulkerson – 9th.
