K. Aremid Eymbers, formerly known as Kimmie Ann Hollums, passed away at Staten Island Hospital in Staten Island, NY at the age of 61 years. She was born the daughter of Kenneth and Shirley Hollums and attended Dimmitt Schools for several years before graduating from Lubbock Christian High School in 1978. She obtained a Paralegal certificate and held a real estate license. While in Dimmitt she enjoyed restoring houses and selling them. Aremid spent the past 12 years working in Staten Island, New York in several management and clerical positions until her passing on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

In her spare time, Aremid had several hobbies that consisted of experimenting with interior and clothing design as well as cooking up interesting culinary creations. She wrote often about her time in New York in order to share her unique experiences with family and friends. She will be remembered for the way she also shared kindness and her love of the Lord with those around her, and that she wasn’t afraid to pursue her dreams.

She is survived by daughter, Brooke Kirby of Panhandle, Texas; beautiful granddaughters, Kloey and Kambry Kirby, her siste,r Cindy Odom and her husband Mike Odom of Dimmitt, Texas; and special friend, Lee Norris of Dimmitt, Texas.

Her memory will always be cherished in the hearts of those that knew and loved her.

A gathering of family and friends will be held to honor her memory at The Gathering Place (in the back of West Texas Coffee) 107 E Bedford in Dimmitt, Texas, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 2.
