Dimmitt Pro MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter Isaac Sifuentez traveled to Woodward, Oklahoma to participate in the Super Fight Night and came out with the big win.

Sifuentez took on hometown fighter Jarrett Walden and won the fight by applying a Guillotine Choke on his opponent in the first 26 seconds of the first round. The bout was in the Lightweight Division (155 lbs.).

Sifuentez has been competing successfully in MMA for since 2013.

The Super Fight Night was held Oct. 23 at the Woodward County Event Center and featured about 20 fights in Pro MMA, Amateur MMA, Pro Kickboxing and the Original Toughman Boxing Contest.

Each fight is three 1-minute rounds with a 1-minute rest in between. Fighters typically use 16-ounce training gloves, headgear, groin protector and mouthpiece. Professional cornermen were also provided. The event was sanctioned by the Oklahoma Boxing Commission and was judged like a pro fight.

Participant had to be at least 18 years old and competed in three weight divisions: 130-160, 161-185, and 186-500.

Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a hybrid combat sport incorporating techniques from boxing, wrestling, judo, jujitsu, karate, Muay Thai (Thai boxing) and other disciplines. The rules allow usage of both striking and grappling techniques while standing and on the ground under a unified set of rules.
