The Dimmitt Bobbies softball team fell to the Muleshoe Lady Mules last Tuesday, 20-1.

Dimmitt hitters came in with one run in the first inning, with Muleshoe coming in with three runs in the first inning and 17 runs in the second.

Losing pitcher for Dimmitt was Alexis Quiroz, who faced 30 batters, had a total of 112 pitches with 71 balls and 41 strikes. She allowed eight hits, nine walks and had one strikeout

Ḃatting stats show Nina Vasquez with one single and one run; Alexis Quiroz with one single; Alondra Cabrales-Reyes with one single and one run batted in; and Promise Herrera with one single and two stolen bases.

On fielding, Nina Vasquez had one putout; Alexis Quiroz, one putout; Rosalinda Comparan, two assists, Alondra Cabrales-Reyes, one putout; Makayla Delgado, one putout; Promise Herrera, one putout; and Nathalia Ogaz, one put out.

The team had a total of six errors.

Player of the Game was Alondra Cabrales-Reyes. Coach Vicky Ruiz said the Bobbies had two outs with runners on first and second bases, when Reyes came up to bat and hit a line drive to the outfield allowing Nina Vasquez to score.

The Bobbies’ District standing is 0-1 heading into conference play.
