Bobcats advance into playoffs

The Dimmitt Bobcats capped off their regular season with two major wins and will head into the playoffs. The first game will be in Shallowater at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, with the second game 30 minutes after the first game ends. Game three will be played in Dimmitt on Saturday at noon.

Bobcats v Friona

The Dimmitt Bobcats came in with a big win over the Friona Chieftains on May 2, 19-4.

Winning pitcher was Trey Aguero, who threw five innings/77 pitches for six strikeouts, giving up eight hits for four runs and four walks.

Bobcats v Tulia

The Bobcats also claimed a huge win against the Tulia Hornets on April 26, 13-3.

The Dimmitt squad put up runs in both the third and fourth innings, and five runs in the fifth inning with Trey Aguero and Edgar Lopez driving the big inning with RBIs. Aguero and Jose Medina each launched homeruns in the fifth and third innings to cap things off.

Winning pitcher was Victor Flores, who threw 2.1 innings for 56 pitches and five strikeouts, giving up two hits, three runs and four walks. Trey Aguero came in as relief pitcher for 2.3 innings and 33 pitches and five strikeouts, giving up one hit and one walk.
