Bobcats fall to Cubs, 47-29

The Dimmitt Bobcats were defeated by the Brownfield Cubs, 47-29.

Dimmitt came in with 11 first downs, 91 passing yards, 84 passing yards and five penalties for 35 yards.

Passing leaders were Jack Lunsford with nine completions of 16 attempts for 65 yards and one touchdown; Xaden Vargas with four completions for 10 attempts for 26 yards.

Leading receivers were J. Carrillo with five receptions for 105 yards and three touchdowns; Randy Gomez and Tony Martinez, with one reception each for three yards.

Top rusher was Tony Salazar with 20 attempts for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensive leaders were Diego Santellano with three tackles and one assist; Isiah Sifuentez, one tackle and four

assists; Adrik Bustos, one tackle and two assists; and Tony Salazar with one tackle and one assist. Vincente Soto had one interception.

Diego Santellano had five kickoffs for 194 yards. Tony Salazar had one kickoff return for one touchdown.

The Bobcats current season record is 1-3.
