Nazareth ends basketball season in playoffs

The Nazareth Swifts and Swiftettes completed their basketball season after advancing into the playoffs.

Both teams had perfect district seasons.

The Swiftettes claimed wins in Bi-District, Area, the Regional Quarterfinals, moving on to compete at the Regional tournament in South Plains Texan Dome last weekend. The team beat Whiteface 23-20 in the Semifinals but fell to Valley 51-36 in a tough Regional championship game, ending their drive with 25-11, 10-0 record.

The Swifts headed into the playoffs, winning Bi-District and Area, but fell in the Quarterfinals to Texline, 5543. The Swifts had a season record of 16-11, 9-0.

Both teams will move on to athletes competing in baseball, track and field, golf a tennis.
