Better Living for Texans and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service are excited to offer a new class series focused on Healthy Carbohydrates.

This 4-class series is intended for those who want to learn more about how to prevent chronic disease, specifically diabetes and obesity, through nutrition practices.

The goal of this program is to help individuals understand how carbohydrates play a role in preventing and managing prediabetes, diabetes, and obesity. The classes will focus on how to find the right amount of carbohydrates for your health goals and how to incorporate carbohydrates into your meals.

The series will take place on Thursday, July 8, July 22, August 5, and August 19, at 5:30 p.m. in the Castro County Extension Office, 205 N Broadway, Dimmitt, Texas. Parking is available behind the building.

Due to COVID precautions, space will be limited to 15 participants. RSVP via phone to 806-485-9135.

If you have questions, please contact Courtney Lowe at (806)-485-9135 and courtney.lowe@ag.tamu.edu.
