Swiftettes win over Lady Roos, 65-26

The Nazareth Swiftettes chalked up another win as the end of the season nears, beating the Lady Roos, 6526.

Nazareth move out ahead in the first quarter, 12-9 and extended the lead to 35-16 by halftime. The fourth quarter saw strong shooting by the Swiftettes, who widened their lead by 56-23, and finally claimed the victory 65-26.

The Swiftettes shot for 25 of 59 field goals, with four of 15 three-pointers, 11 of 14 free throws, collected 32 rebounds, 17 assists, 19 steals, one block and 14 fouls.

Top shots for the Swiftettes were Brooklyn Birkenfeld with 21 points, three offensive rebounds, two defensive rebounds, one assist, five steals, one block and three fouls; Presley Wheeler, 18 points, three offensive rebounds, two defensive rebounds, four assists, one steal and four fouls; and Iris Schilderink, 10 points, five offensive rebounds, two assists, two steals and one foul.
