Swifts advance to Regional semifinals

The Nazareth Swifts baseball team captured the Regional Quarterfinals Championship against Borden County with back-to-back shutouts, 10-0 and 13-0, advancing them to the Regional Semifinals.

The Swifts head into the semifinals round with a 16-0 record for the season.

The Swifts squad has been on a steady, consistent roll this season with solid pitching, batting and fielding.

The Swifts will face the Kress Kangaroos on May 19 with game 1 starting at 4 p.m. at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview.

The second game will follow 30 minutes after the completion of the first. Should a third game be needed it will be held on May 21, time to be announced.
