Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced state sales tax revenue totaled $4.1 billion in December, 1 percent more than in December 2023.The majority of December sales tax revenue is based on sales made in November and remitted to the agency in December.

The Dimmitt Bobbies and Bobcats varsity teams competed in the 65th annual Caprock Classic Tournament this past weekend.Approximately 100 teams from across Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma traveled to Lubbock to compete in the largest high school basketball tournament in the county.
