Baby shower honors Boyers
Castro County 4-H elementary team advanced to the Texas Tech GEAR robotics contest in Lubbock. There were 24 teams that advanced out of 152 elementary teams for the season. and the Castro team finished eighth.The team includes Bensen Birkenfeld, 3rd grader from Nazareth, Mason Mireles, 3rd grader from Hart, Griffin Neinast, 5th grader from Dimmitt, and Sawyer Gibson, 4th grader from Nazareth, who was unable to make the match. The team was coached by Nazareth sophomore Spencer Acker.

The Nazareth FFA Homesite team competed in the Hamilton State Qualifiers Invitational Contest at the 4P Ranch. Nazareth placed sixth overall out of 31 teams. Team members include Harrison Meador, Caysen High, Max Snead and Oliver Meador.

Castro County 4-H District 2 Horse Judging Contest. The Intermediate team placed second. Individual placings were Braeli Fuller, 3rd place overall, 5th in reasons; Steeley Moore, 4th overall, 2nd in reasons; Adalyn Braddock, 6th overall, 9th in reasons; and Sawyer Lunsford, 8th overall, 8th in reasons.

Dimmitt EDC presented a $10,000 grant check to Flex Fitness and Nutrition as part of their Small Business Incentive Program on Friday.
