After working with their animals for many months, Nazareth students were able to show their livestock locally and compete for titles, as well as get their feet wet and animals in the show pen before the major state shows which are stacked back-to-back and overlapping into spring.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been sued for withholding the results of key COVID-19 vaccine safety analyses. According to the nonprofit Children’s Health Defense (CHD) who filed the lawsuit on Jan. 26 in federal court, the FDA’s actions allegedly violated federal law.

The Dimmitt Bobbies and Bobcats powerlifters continue to get stronger as the season progresses, and team wins are brought back home. The Bobbies powerlifters competed at the Frenship Tiger Invitational this past weekend and racked up another first-place team win – their third in a row.

Nazareth fifth-grade robotics students were among 32 teams competing at the TCEA Robotics meet. Noah Raef and Xavier Snead made it into the semifinals where they ended a strong day. Braeli Fuller and Brystol Burks came in 15th.

Dimmitt Invitational draws 127 lifters

The Dimmitt Invitational Powerlifting Meet is in the books. Eight schools, including Dimmitt and Hart, participated with a total of 127 lifters competing. The Dimmitt Bobbies came through with another team first place and the Dimmitt Bobcats were second as a team.

The Nazareth Swifts came out on top against the Happy Cowboys, 45-33. The Swifts took the lead in the first quarter, 15-7, and maintained the lead through the second quarter to close out the first half, 22-16.

Swiftettes take 56-16 win against Cowgirls

The Nazareth Swiftettes came in with a victory against the Happy Cowgirls, 56-16, at last Friday’s game. The Swiftettes took a sixpoint lead in the first quarter and scored another eight points in the second quarter to close the first half ahead 14-4.

Accountability. We hear about how we should be accountable for our actions. What about our elected officials? They make promises all through campaigns and tout how “they” can do the job better than such and such. Then they get in office and they turn out to be all hat and no saddle.
