Nazareth ISD Kayle Rogers competed at the Region 1 Track Championships this past weekend and earned a trip to the state meet. Rogers had a second-place distance of 46-03-00. The state meet for 1A competitors is May 3 in Austin. Compete regional results for Nazareth and Hart are om the Sports Section.

Memorial roping, rodeo set for June 6-7

It’s that time of year again for the annual Olen Schulte Memorial Wild West Rodeo and Team Roping.The event is held each year to preserve cowboy heritage and fund scholarships for area youth.
DHS tracksters Lily Rodriguez and Daegan Roberson will advance to compete in Abilene at the Regional Track Meet. Rodriguez placed 3r in the 100-meter dash and Roberson placed 2n in the 300-meter hurdles.

Carpio advances baseball career with WTAMU Buffs

Former Dimmitt Bobcat baseball player Julius Carpio is continuing a successful baseball career, logging in a 4-0 record in 2025 for the WTAMU Buff thus far.
