Hereford ISD began the process of taking down the Stanton School Building in Hereford last week. In April, the Hereford ISD Board of Trustees voted to begin the demolition process after years of the facility, originally occupied in 1926, sitting empty because of structural issues.

 1941-2026Connie Tom Brumley, 85, of Hereford, TX, died June 2, 2026 in Hereford after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 7,1941, to Arthur and Florence Robinson in Wellington, TX and lived in Quail, TX until her family moved to Hereford in 1956.
