HISD bond fails by thin margin, HEDC measure passes

By a whisker thin margin, the Hereford Independent School District Proposition A to build a new Hereford High School at an anticipated cost of $150 million was voted down 713 to 706 in the May 2 general election.The margin of defeat for the school bond tax hike was a razor thin 50.25 percent to 49.

Sparks is the oldest and longest time member—90 years—of the FBC congregation, where he still attends services every Sunday.
