The Hereford Whitefaces finished up district play by welcoming the West Plains Wolves to Whiteface Field last Friday night. West Plains is the #2-ranked team in the state in 4A, and they finished district play undefeated by topping Hereford 45-7.

State Representative John Smithee (R-Amarillo) last week announced that he will not seek another term in the Texas House of Representatives. Smithee has served in the Texas Legislature since 1985, and was most recently chairman of the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence.
