A wedding shower was held in honor of Harlie Millican and Reid Decker at the beautiful home of Carla Wooten on April 25, 2026.
As part of Hereford Texas Federal Credit Union's commitment to supporting local communities, HTFCU recently donated $1,000 to the Dimmitt High School Class of 2026.

Castro County 4th and 5th graders participated in a mock trial in April. Castro County Sheriff Sal Rivera, along with Castro County officials Mandy Gfeller, Shalyn Hamlin, Veronica Pacheco, Mary Ewing, Kristina Holcomb, Priscilla Peralta, Kacy Quinton, and Amanda Fisher helped bring The Three Little Pigs vs. The Big Bad Wolf to life. After hearing the case, the student jury delivered a verdict of not guilty on all charges.

The month of April kept me on the road, but every mile was well spent in learning and serving Castro County. I attended the Texas Historical Commission’s Real Places Conference for courthouse stewards.

Dimmitt High School’s Lily Rodriguez competed in the WT regional qualifier practice meet Friday. She placed 3rd in the 100-meter dash and second in the 200-meter dash. She will be running at the regional meet Friday and Saturday in Abilene.
