The Hereford Lady Whitefaces opened district play Tuesday night with a four-set loss to Canyon, falling 3-1 to the Lady Eagles.
Hereford dropped the first two sets 25-18 and 25-19 before battling back to take the third set 25-21. Canyon closed out the match with a 25-20 victory in the fourth set.
