Reports of the New World screwworm returning to the United States have raised concern. Driven northward from Central America and expanding across our southern borders, this parasitic fly has officially reemerged after a 44-year absence, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Flooding batters Hill Country once again A massive amount of rain once again engulfed the Hill Country, causing widespread flooding in several counties, including Uvalde, Kerr, Kendall and Gillespie. At least two fatalities were reported near Comfort and Uvalde.More than 270 people were rescued.
