County buys SO vehicle, approves Precinct 1 Equipment purchase

Deaf Smith County commissioners approved purchase of a police package pickup for the Sheriff’s Office off the Buy Board and two pieces of equipment for Precinct 1 during a regular meeting November 25 at the Deaf Smith County Courthouse.

NATIONAL 4-H CONGRESS DELEGATE--State Delegate Johan Grotegut represented Deaf Smith County at the National 4-H Congress event in Atlanta, Georgia. Johan was selected through rigorous interviews prior to his participation in the five-day event.

Thanks to wonderful rains from spring into summer, there were far more pheasants to be seen locally this summer and fall, particularly at hangouts around feedyards and around cover bordering good feed.

The 28th annual Pheasant Hunters and Community Breakfast is today, December 6 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the First Methodist Church at 501 North Main. The hall is across the alley on the west side of the church building.
