    The literary world lost two famous authors recently as Beverly Cleary, a writer of children's books, and Larry McMurtry, primarily a Western author, both passed away on March 25, 2021. Cleary died at the age of 104 in her Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, home while McMurtry, 84, died at his home in Archer City, Texas.
