Rueben Cordova Ramirez, 60, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Amarillo.
Rueben was born on July 10, 1965, in Dimmitt, Texas, to Rene and Diana (Cordova) Ramirez. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1981. Rueben pursued entrepreneurship, thriving in various fields such as welding, and earned the nickname “Diana’s burrito man.” He took pride in supporting and working with the family business, Diana’s Tamales and Burritos.
Rueben loved family trips, music, and time with friends. He was sociable, clever, witty, and stood up for his beliefs.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, son Rene Rueben Ramirez and daughter Deidra Dawley (Ramirez); grandchildren, Zamaira Ramirez, Nathen Martinez, Tytus Martinez, Waldo Garcia III, and Diana Ramirez; brothers Roger Ramirez and Rolando Ramirez; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rene and Diana Ramirez and brother Cipriano Ramirez.
Celebration of Life Service for Rueben will be on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home with Dr. Nathan Adams officiating.
A Family and Friend Visitation will be on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 1:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements and Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.
