Valentine’s Day here at Rhoads Memorial Library started off less than special when a brownout occurred about 11:30 that morning, followed by a blackout that lasted until 12:50 p.m. Our descent into darkness had us scrambling for flashlights as we realized how helpless we were without electricity. (And how cold-I am hotnatured but even I noticed when the thermostat dipped to 64 degrees!)
