  • The Hart High School Powerlifters competed at the Friona Powerlifting Meet this past weekend. Adamari Morales placed first (Wt. Class 123) and received the Best Lifter on the light platform; BriAnna Nalley, second place (Wt. Class 148); Mia Lopez, second place (Wt. Class 220); Hannah Hernandez, eight place (Wt. Class 123); Brizeth Soltero, 12th place (Wt. Class 123); and Noah Marin, third place (Wt. Class 165).

    The Nazareth Swiftettes defeated the McLean Lady Tigers 64-36 in the Area playoffs last Thursday.

    The Swiftettes(25-9, 12-0) advance to the Regional semifinal on Feb. 17 at Lubbock Roosevelt High School to play the winner of the Sands/Gutherie game.
