Edna Jean Kittrell 1941-2026

Edna Jean Kittrell, born April 17, 1941, to W.H. ”Judd” and M.E. Davis, passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and love. She was the youngest and last surviving of four children.

On July 22, 1959, she married the love of her life, Jerry Kittrell. Together they would build a life rooted in devotion and were blessed with three daughters.

She is survived by her three daughters; Theresa Marble and husband Marlin of Houston TX. Their children include Ashley Cadis and husband Nathan, blessed with Abigail, Ethan and Titus; and Allston Marble and wife Danica, blessed with Jack, Olivia, Vera and Judah.

Her daughter Melissa Carpenter and husband Rod of Quitaque, TX. Their children include Logan and wife Mari Vital; Luke and wife Lindsi blessed with Henry and James; and Katy Little and husband Davis, blessed with Mack.

Her daughter Gayla Myrick and husband Coy of Hart, TX. Their children include Kelby Brock and husband Brooks, blessed with Barrett and Berkley; and Lance and wife Sidney, blessed with Camden, JayDee and Millie.

Her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life. She served faithfully in many roles at First Baptist Church in Hart and was devoted to ministering to others. Alongside her husband, she worked in their family business Kittrell Electronics where she touched many lives through both service and fellowship.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, and “MeMe”, known for her caring heart, her love of people and her joyful spirit. She poured into countless lives, especially youth and church families. Her time at Hickory Place was such a blessing to both her and those around her.

Her family is deeply grateful and forever blessed to call her Mom.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Kittrell, brother Lloyd Davis, sister and brother in-law Tom and Laverne McLain and sister Pat Benson.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church of Hart, Texas with Dr. Matt Baird and Dr. Gene Meacham officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. The family receive friends and family on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the funeral home.
