Glenn Anthony Ehly, 67 of Nazareth,Texas, passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov.10, at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth with Father Arokiaraj Samala officiating and Deacon Bob Birkenfeld assisting. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

A vigil service and a rosary will be recited on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church.

Glenn was born Sept. 16, 1956, in Dimmitt, Texas to Alphonse and Marion (Schacher) Ehly. He graduated from Nazareth High School in 1975. He married Jill Nolen Dec. 23, 1978, in Nazareth. In 1985 they welcomed their son, Tyler. Glenn’s work throughout the years included farming, harvesting, truck driving, and road maintenance. Glenn served on the Parish Council, community hall committee, and as Scout Master. He enjoyed woodworking, baseball, fishing, playing cards and dominos, grilling, and planning get-togethers where he always made sure there was too much food.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Jill Ehly of Nazareth; his son, Tyler Ehly of Nazareth; two brothers, Arnold (Shawn) Ehly of Tulia, Texas, and Bruce (Peggy) Ehly of Dimmitt; stepfather Leo Durbin of Amarillo, Texas; sister-in-law Joy (Melvin) Wethington of Nazareth; two brothers-in-law LaRue (Michelle) Nolen of Otis, Oregon, and Todd (Darla) Nolen of Dimmitt; and many nieces and nephews as well as greats and great-greats.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Evan Ehly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Nazareth Cemetery Fund.
