Hunter
Roy Edmond Hunter, 93,of Roaring Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 16 in Amarillo, Texas.
Edmond was born on Jan.15, 1932, to Roy and-Lueraney Hunter in Turkey, Texas. He graduated from Turkey High School in 1950 and married his high school sweetheart, Joyce (Studer) Hunter, later that year in December.They were married 69 years prior to her death in October 2019.
Edmond joined the army in 1952 serving our country during the Korean conflict. Edmond and Joyce moved to Dimmitt, Texas in 1954 after receiving an honorable discharge from the Army. They lived in Dimmitt for 42 years before moving to Roaring Springs, Texas.
He was a lifelong selfemployed carpenter.
He is survived by his daughter, Vickie (George) Nelson of Canyon, Texas;two sons, Ricky (Katy) Hunter of Bushland Texas, and Scott (Andrea) Hunter of Georgetown Texas; five grandchildren, Lynn, Summer,Shawn Nelson, and Boand Adam Hunter; nine great-grandchildren; and one greatgreat- grandchild.
