Isabel Diaz was born in Dimmitt, Texas on July 12, 1970, to Dario and Maria Carrasco. She left this life on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the age of 55. Isabel attended Hart High School and was a life-long resident of Hart, Texas. She married Bonefacio Diaz on May 6, 1987, and their son, Jamie, was born on August 20, 1987. She was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and her home. She was also very proud to be a 12-year breast cancer survivor.
Isabel loved being outdoors and will be remembered for the beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces she created. She treasured time with her family, especially her two granddaughters, Brooklyn and Bailey. Her family will forever remember her generous spirit. She found happiness in doing things for others, often picking up small gifts for her granddaughters during routine grocery trips. Each morning, she rose before sunrise to lovingly prepare her husband’s lunch for his workday—a quiet act of devotion that reflected her caring nature. Isabel also enjoyed traveling with her husband whenever possible, and together they cherished their visits to South Padre Island. A gifted home decorator, she especially loved Christmas and took great joy in meticulously crafting picture-perfect Christmas trees. She leaves behind her beloved pets—three dogs and a bird—who were lovingly spoiled.
Isabel was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Kristopher Carrasco. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Maria Carrasco of Hart; husband, Bonefacio Diaz of Hart; son, Jamie and wife Teresa, and granddaughters, Brooklyn and Bailey, of Lubbock; sisters Sandra Melendrez of Lubbock, Laura Rainwater and husband Tom of Anson, Krista Ramirez and husband Adolfo of Hart; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
A small, private prayer service will be held in her honor, in remembrance and celebration of her life.
