Carlos Triana, 76 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Dec. 10, 2020 in Amarillo, Texas.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 10:30 a.m. in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Abel Vargas Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 3 p.m.– 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Carlos Triana was born on Oct. 21, 1944 in Miguel Auza, Zacatecas, Mexico to Jesus Triana and Regina (Olvera) Triana. Carlos had been a longtime resident of Dimmitt, Texas and he worked for Cargill for many years prior to his retirement. After retiring, he opened C & N Garage Door which he operated. Carlos enjoyed working outside, working in his garden, grocery shopping for his family, watching the Dallas Cowboys and fishing but most of all he enjoyed raising his 3 sons. He was a member of New Life Church and was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and was always witnessing to people about our Lord and Savior.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Dolores Triana of Dimmitt; three daughters, Teresa Stotts of Dimmitt, Melissa Wilson and husband Bruce of Amarillo, and Mary Ann Williams of Missouri; three sons, Mazie Triana and wife Casandra, J.J. Triana and wife Christina and JuJu Triana and wife Mackenzie, all of Dimmitt; eight grandchildren; one brother, Jose Triana and wife Dora of Muleshoe; two sisters, Consuelo Aguilar and husband Alonzo of Dimmitt, and Josefina Garza and husband Margarito of Dimmitt.

Carlos is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maria Triana; and brother, Dionicio Triana.
