Jerry Watts, 79, passed away on Feb. 1, 2022. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the fellowship hall at the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Jerry Frank Watts was born on May 21, 1942, in Littlefield to Jess and Vernie Watts. He grew up in the Fieldton area and attended schools at Littlefield and Spade. He graduated from Spade High School in 1960. He married Carolyn Hampton on August 24, 1960. They farmed one year in Lamb County before moving to Dim mitt in 1961 where they lived and continued to farm. They moved off the farm and into Dimmitt in 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Gene Watts.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Watts; one daughter, Kim Pond and husband Steve of Tulia; one son, Jeff Watts and wife Anne of Gastonia, North Carolina; two brothers, Mike Watts and wife Kay of Breckenridge, and Doug Watts and wife Sissy of Shallowater; six grandchildren, Wil Pond and wife Tara, Jerry Daniel Pond, Steffanee Vargas and husband Tim, Kayla Brack and husband Drew, Jeffrey Pond and Colby Watts; seven greatgrandchildren, Seve Vargas, Elliot Pond, Tauren Vargas, Charlie Pond, Evelyn Brack, Millie Kate Vargas and Asa Brack; and several nieces and nephews.
