Do you remember elementary school recess? At our school, we ate lunch right before playtime. We’d line up single file to walk through the food line. The plate lunch often included gravy-laden mystery meat – beef or possibly bird – plus mashed potatoes and something green or yellow.

Texas Senate takes aim at internet content

The Texas Senate passed SB 2021 making it more difficult for children to access internet pornography by requiring users to verify their age. Senator Angela Paxton from McKinney stated that this content is especially malignant to the developing adolescent mind.

Every morning when my mirror smiles back, I am grateful to two dentists who have helped me for decades. They must be darn good, because thanks to regular visits I’ve retained excellent cuspids, bicuspids, plus a host of workable molars. I am not the best patient.

This is an oldie - but a goodie. A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs.

West Texas A&M University will not host a drag show on campus. It was advertised for March 31, 2023, as an effort to raise money for The Trevor Project. The nonprofit organization focuses on suicide prevention—a noble cause—in the LGBTQ community.
