Accountability. We hear about how we should be accountable for our actions. What about our elected officials? They make promises all through campaigns and tout how “they” can do the job better than such and such. Then they get in office and they turn out to be all hat and no saddle.

I’m often shocked to see dirty public bathrooms with phone numbers scribbled on the walls. Did you know that half those phones are disconnected? People have gone to the bathroom for thousands of years. Facilities will be needed as long as folks drink water or take a long car trip.

Can people in warmer climates adjust to lower temperatures? Yes, I know it’s cold because it is winter. If it were hot, we would worry that there’s a hole in the ozone layer. But the ozone layer is invisible, so it would be really hard to find the hole. For winter amusement, many people ski.
