Nazareth Swiftettes brought home another state basketball championship trophy, the 25th in the team’s history, after 31 appearances at state since 1976, with nine of those in the last 10 years.
Presley Wheeler was named MVP.
Head Coach Eric Schilling was named 1A Coach of the Year.
The Nazareth Swiftettes won the State 1A Basketball Championships this past weekend, beating a tough Huckabay team, 30-20 in the final round.
The Swiftettes added a 25th title and finished their season with a 30-9 record. State tournaments are a tradition with the team which now has 31 appearances since 1976, with nine in the last 10 years.
