The Nazareth Swifts beat the Claude Mustangs, 10-6, at a home game this past Monday.Swifts B. Proctor was the winning pitcher, tossing for 6.1 innings with six strikeouts, giving up six hits, four runs, four errors and three walks. Jack Welps pitched 0.2 innings with two strikeouts.

Secretary Tom Vilsack announced that food processors will be able to put “Product of USA” only on packages of meat, poultry, and egg products if the animals were born, raised, slaughtered, and processed in the United States.

The Dimmitt Bobbies competed at the Plainview Bulldog Relays on Feb. 23 along with 15 other area schools.Top performers for the Bobbies varsity were Makala Delgado , who won the high jump competition, and Na’Khiyah Porras, who placed second in shot put.

The Dimmitt Bobbies Powerlifting team is headed to the TWHSPA Regional Powerlifting competition on March 2. The team is coached by Ruby Romero.Dimmitt had 19 girls qualify in two different divisions, the most DHS has qualified in a single season.
