Dimmit XV Color Run

The Dimmitt XV Color Run/Walk drew numerous runners to challenge the heat and distance, as well as have a lot of fun. Proceeds from the event hosted by Carla Olmos and Erica Gonzalez will benefit the DHS Cross Country program.

Bobcats Champs at Tourney

Castro County Kids Inc. Dimmitt Bobcats 8-year-old baseball team finished unbeaten this past weekend with a 5-0 record and were named the 7 to 8-year-old champions at the West Texas A&M 8U Tournament in Canyon.

Bobbies dig in at Queens Basketball Camp

The Dimmitt Bobbies high school and junior high athletes attended the Queens Basketball Camp 2022 on June 21 through June 23. The camp had two sections, one for Pre-K to 6th grade, and another for 7th through 12th grade.

TTU selects new Masked Rider horse

Following a nationwide search, Texas Tech University has chosen the Masked Rider’s new horse. A 9-year-old black quarter horse gelding, Buzz from the Lubbock area, will be taking over for Fearless Champion, who is being retired after 10 years of service to the university.
