John Brookins celebrates 100th birthday

John Brookins celebrated his 100th birthday on October 20th. Celebrating with him were four generations of his family.John Brookins was the oldest of twelve children, six boys and six girls. His parents were Judd and Para Lee Brookins. The family called Malacoff, Texas home.

One Man’s Memories of Delmer Barefoot

I went to the memorial service of Delmer Barefoot today, and sitting there, listening to heartfelt stories about him from family members, it brought back a flood of memories for me. I spent almost all my summers with my grandparents, Kid and Siegal Henderson, out at their farm in Twitty.
