JEANETTE’S VIGNETTES

The most important thing that I have to say this week is RAIN. It has been wonderful to have the great moisture. Last week I mowed my yard and it looked so nice and then we had rain. I will have to mow again this week, but that is fine with me.

Apostle Paul said, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). The original word here translated “burden” means a weight or trouble not easily carried by one person.

Week of June 1, 2026 It was wonderful to have some rain. The evenings at my house this week were wonderful. The wind had died down and the temperature was nice. I just love sitting outside on those days. Where I live, there is very little traffic and so it is peaceful and calm.

The Hebrews writer said, “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). Mercy and Grace are closely related. While the terms have similar meanings, the two words are not the same.
