Quilters Add a Stitch in Time

Ogallala Quilters Society members Ina Cleavinger, Donna Hathaway and Karen Hutson recently donated a Quilt of Valor to the Castro County Museum to be on permanent display in the Veterans Building at the museum. The trio are members of the quilt guild that made more than 200 Quilts of Valor presented to Dimmitt veterans in 2019. Director of the museum Leta Dennis said the museum is very honored to be the recipient of this quality piece. The quilt and the many interesting displays and buildings can be seen by visiting the museum at 404 Halsell St. in Dimmitt. Currently, the museum is open by appointment or on special occasions.
