The Dimmitt ISD board of trustees met Tuesday and elected new board officers after canceling the election for places 2 and 4.
The election was canceled because Jason Nelson (Place 2) and Mary A. Flores (Place 4) were each unopposed and were declared elected to begin their 3-year term. Darla Fisher administered the oath of office.
