FUB announces ‘21 promotions

Plains Bancorp, Inc., holding company for First United Bank and Spirit Mortgage, announced the promotion of two employees on Tuesday.

Phillip York, from Earth, was named an advisory director. In addition to his role as advisory direct on the bank’s board of directors, York serves as executive vice president, West Regional Manager and Earth Banking Center Manager for First United Bank. York has 34 years of experience in the banking industry.

Outside of the bank, York serves on the Earth United Methodist Church Board of Trustees, the Earth United Methodist Church Finance Committee, the Earth Memorial Committee, the Earth United Methodist Church Ad Council, the Lamb Life Choices Pregnancy Center and as the Treasurer for the Earth Lions Club. He also enjoys golfing, hunting, and doing just about anything with his family - especially his grandsons.

Also receiving a promotion is Robin Rucker to vice president in Littlefield.

Rucker serves as a loan office and is responsible for loan administration at the Littlefield Banking Center.

Rucker has 30 years of experience in the financial industry, 16 of which have been with FUB. She is a 1994 graduate of South Plains College with an associate degree in science. Rucker also graduated from Texas A&M University's Bank Operations Institute in 2002 as the salutatorian of the class.
