Olton’s First United Methodist Church will be serving a Chili-Stew lunch on Nov. 21.

Due to COVID-19, all meals will be carryout.

Serving/pickup begins at 11 a.m. and will continue through 1 p.m. at the churches fellowship hall on 312 Ave. D in Olton. The meal will include a choice of chili or stew, cornbread muffin and dessert.

Cost is $3 for children 2-10 years old; and $7 for adults.

The County Store this year will be held but with a different format. Items will be viewed on Facebook and orders taken ahead of time for baked goods, canned goods and frozen casseroles. Items may be picked up at the church on Nov. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check FUMC Olton Facebook page for more details.

Ladies of the church are taking donations towards owning two handmade quilts this year and include “Urban Fences” made by Teresa Wilks Light and Jane Wilks, and a “Piggy and Frog” crib blanket made by Anita Mandrell. Tickets are $2.50 each or five for 10 for either quilt. The drawing will be held on Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win.
