Hereford Texas Federal Credit Union board members and staff broke ground on Wednesday morning at what will be their new offices in Dimmitt. Participating in the groundbreaking were Clarissa Anes, Veronica Lopez, Monica Anima, Walter Paetzold, Tom Betzen, David Collins, board chairman, Joe Kerr, Martha Ibarra, branch manager, Brenda Fuentes, CEO and Kirby Ramirez. Board members unable to attend were Mickey Bishop, Temple Abney and Mitch Reeve. In charge of building the new HTFCU offices is DEI out of Cincinnati. The company specializes in designing and building facilities for financial institutions. Demolition of old buildings began in January at the site where the new Hereford Texas Federal Credit Union branch will be located. The new branch will be located across the street from First United Bank and is expected to be completed in February.
