"The Seven Sisters" series of books written by Lucinda Riley continue to be a popular checkout here at Rhoads Memorial Library. Some people say the seven books do not have to be read in order, but most agree that it is best to do so. To avoid long wait times while someone else has a specific book checked out, we have added multiple copies for our patrons' convenience.

Readers have expressed interest in some of Riley's standalone novels, so we now offer these three books for checkout:

"The Butterfly Room" finds Posy Montague approaching her 70th birthday, conflicted about selling Admiral House, her family home where she spent an idyllic childhood. Then Freddie, her first love reappears after breaking her heart and abandoning her 50 years ago. She also has to deal with two sons: Sam, an inept businessman, and Nick, who has returned after spending 10 years in Australia. If that isn't enough, Posy learns that Freddie, and Admiral House, have a devastating secret to reveal.

Set in the hills of rural Monmouthshire, Wales, "The Angel Tree" focuses on Greta, who is trying to recover over two decades of memories she lost during a tragic accident at grand Marchmont Hall. During a walk, she finds a grave in the woods bearing an inscription on the headstone of a little boy buried there. Her memory is triggered, and she begins piecing together her past, and that of her daughter, Cheska. She discovers that Cheska is not the angel she seems to be.

"The Olive Tree" features Helena returning to Pandora, a home in Cyprus left to her by her godfather. It has been 24 years since she spent a magical holiday there; now she returns with her husband and son for the summer. But a chance meeting with her childhood sweetheart sets a chain of events in motion as Helena's past and present are on a collision course.

If the afore-mentioned books do not pique your inter est, perhaps Stephen King's new release of "Billy Summers" will. Summers hopes to retire from his killer-for-hire vocation but wants to execute one last hit on a truly bad guy. Summers, a decorated Iraq war vet who is one of the best snipers in the world, is a Houdini when it comes to vanishing after a job is completed. So what could possibly go wrong? Almost everything.

Other newly released books that have arrived and are ready for checkout include:

"Class Act" (s Stone Barrington novel) by Stuart Wood;

"Hell for Breakfast" (a Slash and Pecos Western) by William W. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone.

Until next week, Happy Reading!
