Making Spirits Bright

  • Castro County Sheriff Sal Rivera offered a big “Thanks” to everyone and all the organizations that donated to the Annual Toy Drive, including Dollar Store who made a generous contribution of toys. Rivera thanked the deputies and communications dispatchers Brittanny Llamas and Mischa Baldwin for helping organize the drive, and the deputies and jailer Brennon Garcia and Santa for backing them up to deliver presents.

  • The Chamber of Commerce announced that Andres Navarro III on Jones Street is the winner of the Most Festive Yard Award. Navarro won $100 in Dimmitt Dollars for all his holiday decorating.
