What would your emoji reveal about you today?

Would friends see a smiley face or smile turned upside down?

Maybe your emoji exemplifies anger.

We are emotional beings. Often, we try to hide emotions; they can be suppressed but that is often detrimental to our mental health.

Jesus did not suppress His sorrow. He shared it with His disciples.

“Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me (Matthew 26:36-38 KJV).”

Emoji for the Savior?

I most often visualize Jesus face as radiant and peaceful.

Experiencing exceeding sorrow, tears seem more fitting.

“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief (Isaiah 53:3a KJV).”
