Nazareth FFA chapter continues with more wins in Leadership Development Events (LDE).
Students competed at the area contest held on Nov.19 and Nov. 21 at West Texas A&M University. Eleven Naz FFA teams and 21 members, who qualified at the District LDE competition and came home as District Sweepstakes winner, represented their school and went on to repeat much of their success at the Area contest. There were again named the Single Teacher Sweepstake winners as well as Reserve Sweepstakes chapter for the entire area.
State qualifiers include Grady McAlister who placed first in Senior Creed; Chloe Birkenfeld, Greenhand Creed; and Kari Schulte, Job Interview.
State LDE’s will take place virtually Dec. 1-5.
The LDE program is designed for FAA members in grades 7 through 12, challenging them to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement. LDE and CDE events occur at the local, state and national levels.
