The Nazareth vet science class attended Day 1 of the Dairy Honors Program this past week. They had the opportunity to learn about filtration of water to be reused multiple times day to clean or flush out barns, how to check for mastitis in milk, how a milking parlor operates, different jobs in a dairy and nutrition for dairy cattle. Dairy Honors is a program that is designed to educate and spark interest in young men and women who aspire to start a career in the dairy industry.
