Ogallala Quilt Festival Big Success

The 25th annual Ogallala Quilt Festival is in the books after quilters from three states converged on Dimmitt to join in the competition and fun. With it usual schedule of receptions, Fantastic Friday, awards and many classes taught by top quilters, it was a combination of learning, laughing and a gathering of likeminded, talented quilters. Best of Show went to Arlene Mears with “Arlene’s Dream”. Junior Best of Show, Gabriella Burns; Viewer’s Choice, Trecia Spencer’s “Grecian Fiesta” (top photo); Judge’s Choice, Trecia Spencer, quilted by Angela McCorkle; and Teacher’s Choice/Julia McLeod went to Jean Grimes.
